KURT'S LOGO

The caricature, which depicts our namesake perfectly,
was the inspiration behind our now-famous logo.
It was originally drawn as a keepsake
 from the National Restaurant Show in Chicago in the early '80s

The better part of the story is at the time,
Kurt was working the Country Club circuit
which meant he stayed at a premier hotel in Chicago
when attending an industry trade show.  

As the story goes, he went into the elevator this one particular day,
and a female plus two larger, intimidating men got on the elevator simultaneously.
Kurt did not recognize any of the suspicious characters
 as they rode down the elevator together.

Once they all left the elevator
a group of paparazzi formed and Kurt was told that he had just ridden
down the elevator with none other than
Madonna herself
 (whom he still had no clue who she was)

 If only his logo would eventually become as famous as she has.
